Our Spring Women of ALPFA Panel was a great success! A huge thank you to our incredible panelists—Amber Acosta, Angelika A. Romero, Dianna C. Cervantes, and Naomi Rodriguez—for joining us and sharing their insights. They spoke about their journeys, professional experiences, and the valuable lessons they’ve learned along the way. ALPFA at Texas A&M University has made great strides to become the most recognized Latino organization at Mays Business School. We have proudly provided our members with endless professional opportunities since our inception in 2008. We have also proudly helped our members achieve personal goals in order to ensure success in their personal lives. For the 2024-2025 school year, our chapter has many great things in store for our members. We hope to continue providing professional opportunities through workshops, but also encourage our members to exceed the status quo through programs such Women of ALPFA program. We are here to serve the Latino community at Mays Business School and empower the leaders of the future!

They delivered an inspiring talk on?"Mastering Mental Health and Imposter Syndrome,"?emphasizing to our members the importance of self-awareness and working towards personal growth. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming BDO to our last general meeting of the semester! A big thank you to Michelle Melnar, Kelsey Witmer, and Anthony Gamez for presenting on their topic, “Networking & Public Speaking”. Their presentation provided our members with valuable advice on preparing for presentations, effective networking strategies, and insights into why networking is such a crucial skill in the professional world. Yesterday, ALPFA welcomed back Isabel Esteviz, who spoke to our chapter about her topic, "Confidence Confidential: The Secret to Unshakeable Self-Confidence." The meeting was filled with inspiring words as she shared how one of the keys to success and happiness lies in discovering confidence from within. It is always a pleasure to have Isabel Esteviz with us—her confidence and wisdom are admirable, and her message will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on our members. Thank you so much to EY for coming out to our general meeting last week. We had the opportunity to hear from Maddie Jones and?the rest of the team?on their topic, "Tips and Tricks on Preparing for a Behavioral Interview." At this meeting, our members learned valuable hacks from professionals on how to make a strong impression during interviews. Our members also had the chance to explore EY's career opportunities and network with these professionals.
