Our free teacher-student connection builder uplifts and integrates student voices for thriving classrooms.
关于我们
Along is a free, online teacher-student connection builder that helps quickly build the strong ties needed to create and maintain trust year-round. Along is built on the premise that authentic teacher-student connections have a positive impact on students’ academic growth, well-being, and social development. Designed alongside students and educators, teachers get to know who their students really are so they can immediately apply this knowledge to create an inclusive learning environment. Research Backed: Grounded in educational research and vetted to ensure inclusiveness, Along activities create space for conversations with students of all background. Committed to Privacy: We take our duty to safeguard your data seriously and are transparent with how we do this. Free to use and implement school-wide: We'll work with you on strategy, training, and school-wide implementation - all at no cost. How it Works: Teachers choose from a collection of pre-vetted questions (or write their own) to better understand and meet the needs of the classroom. This is done through our three-step reflection loop: Ask: Teachers connect with their students by asking them research-informed questions to find out how they think and feel. Reflect: Insights and tips to help teachers reflect upon student input. Act: Help your students feel seen and heard by closing the loop and integrating their input into instruction. Along's Impact: Teachers and students feel an increased connection with each other after using Along. Educators connect more openly and engage differently in the classroom after using Along. 81% of teachers said that Along helped them be more open with their students and 76% of teachers said that Along felt connected to important topics in their classroom. Students also feel more connected to their teachers after using Along. 83% of students said Along helps their teacher get to know them and 76% of students said Along helps them be more open with their teacher.

?? Partner Spotlight: Re-Imagining Migration ?? We’re thrilled to highlight our partnership with Re-Imagining Migration, whose mission is to ensure every student is educated in an inclusive setting. Their work helps educators connect students’ personal stories with their learning, fostering empathy and understanding in the classroom. ???? Supporting classrooms: Migration impacts all students, whether it’s immigration from other countries or migration within the U.S. Re-Imagining Migration helps teachers bridge these experiences to create a more inclusive and relevant learning environment. ?? Key project: The Moving Stories curriculum encourages students to share their migration experiences, helping both newcomers and long-time residents build connections. This storytelling approach has been used in schools like NYC’s Yemeni community to foster greater understanding. ?? A Perfect Partnership? Our focus on dialogue and reflection aligns with Re-Imagining Migration's mission to spark meaningful conversations about migration and inclusion in classrooms everywhere. ?? A message for educators: To engage students, it’s essential that they see themselves reflected in the curriculum. The best way to meet their needs? Ask them. Tools like Along and Moving Stories make these conversations easier and more impactful.
