CELEBRATING THE 1ST CHOCTAW MUSIC FESTIVAL Congratulations to Allyn Media client Choctaw Casinos & Resorts on an incredibly successful, first-ever Choctaw Music Fest! Thousands of music lovers attended over a dozen performances at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant’s first ever Choctaw Music Fest. The festival was headlined by Megan Moroney (pictured above), Lainey Wilson and Foreigner, who performed sold out shows at the three-time Academy of Country Music award-winning Grand Theater. Maroney was the 2023 ACM New Female Artist of the Year, while Lainey Wilson is fresh off a GRAMMY win for best country album for “Bell Bottom Country,” and Foreigner was recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame of Fame. “The first thing any performer will notice about the crowd at Choctaw is how involved the crowd will get in the show,” said Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson. “They seem to know every lyric to every song and their singing voices are wonderfully loud and exuberant! If every crowd were like Choctaw, boy would that make our job a whole lot easier!” There were also 10 performances at Gilley’s over the course of four days including local favorite Bailey Rae, who rose to fame on season 19 of NBC’s The Voice in 2020. In 2025, Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant looks to expand the music festival to include additional performances and unique opportunities for attendees. “Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant has become an entertainment destination for music lovers from Oklahoma, North Texas and beyond, bringing in the biggest names in the industry and up-and-coming talent,” said Jeff Penz, senior director of gaming and hospitality for Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant. ? EXPLORE DALLAS . . . BY TRAIL Lakewood Greet featured The Loop Dallas in the Explore Dallas section of its October issue from Junior Resident Contributor Oliver Pascal, who invites Dallas to walk, run and ride The Loop Dallas trails, like the Trinity Forest Spine Trail. ABOUT THE LOOP DALLAS The Loop Dallas is working closely with City of Dallas, Dallas Park and Recreation, Dallas County, private donors and corporate partners to make green space available throughout Dallas and increase access to public transportation with a focus on equity. The Loop Dallas will unite us with a city-wide bike and pedestrian active transportation system that joins 39 miles of existing trails in Dallas with 11 miles of newly built trails. These final 11 miles are the most complex and costly to deliver which is why a public private partnership is so important. THE INCREDIBLE CREATURE POWER OF TEXAS OCELOTS Please join us in in reading Allyn Media Vice President and Conservation Practice Lead Ryan Trimble's opinion editorial in today's edition of The Dallas Morning News about our beautiful, wild neighbor . . . the ocelot! And a new Ocelot Reintroduction Facility that will help them survive. "As reported?by the?Corpus Christi Caller-Times, the $20 million, 30,000-square-foot center will house primary research buildings for wildlife researchers to advance ocelot research. The facility will have space for surgeries, exams, outreach and education with the goal to successfully breed and reintroduce the native cats into the wild. Notably, the center is the culmination of a broad range of stakeholders, including the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute-Texas A&M University Kingsville, the East Foundation, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Service, the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas wildlife filmmaker Benjamin C. Masters and, perhaps most important, a team of local landowners committed to the conservation of the species. #AllynMedia #Ocelots #TexasConservation #Texas

Please join me in congratulating Allyn Media Vice President and Conservation Practice Lead Ryan Trimble on his opinion editorial published in The Dallas Morning News, "A chance for ocelots in South Texas: New center will allow endangered wild cats to grow their numbers." A passionate advocate for Texas big cats, Ryan teaches us about the role ocelots play in Texas and how a new center will allow endangered wild cats to grow their numbers. "The Ocelot Reintroduction facility will instead facilitate collaboration and invites landowners to be a part of the preservation process, while still enabling them to use their land as they see fit. It also will give Texas ocelots the chance to survive not only in a wilderness sanctuary, but also in a landscape shaped and co-inhabited by humans." This is a very exciting project that helps keeps Texas wild. Click the image below to read all about it! #AllynMedia #Ocelots #TexasConservation #Texas
