International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women's progress, achievements, and resilience across every industry and community. At ALLY Energy, we take immense pride in championing women, particularly within the energy sector. Over the past decade, we’ve worked tirelessly to create a platform that uplifts women and fosters collaborative partnerships to drive meaningful change. This International Women’s Day, we honor the strides we’ve collectively made while recognizing that more work is needed - and that work is done in partnership with men. With the continued support of our allies, we will break barriers, redefine leadership, and create a more inclusive energy future for everyone.

In 2024 our friends at POWERful Women reported that 34% of leadership roles are held by women in the energy sector. Up 3% on last year. That is progress! And whilst there's still some way to go, its organisations like Powerful Women and all of those who are part of WENA, that make it possible. This International Women's Day. We want to thank everyone who chooses to be part of a network or organisation that aims for gender equity. Let's continue to push each other forward for opportunities and form lasting connections. We were saddened to hear the news that Former Mayor of Houston and Congressman Sylvester Turner passed away last night at a DC hospital. Turner was the 2022 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement GRIT Award for his service and work with the energy industry on the first ever Houston Climate Action plan. Turner served 27 years in the Texas House of Representatives, and was elected mayor of Houston in 2015 and again in 2019. https://lnkd.in/g5mfZVF7
