Alltech’s journey began in Ireland, but today, our impact spans the globe! Last week at #VIVAsia, we had the pleasure of welcoming Pat Bourne, the Irish Ambassador to Thailand, to our booth during our St. Patrick’s Day-themed Happy Hour. As we raised a glass to Alltech’s Irish DNA, we also explored shared opportunities in agriculture and innovation across Asia, Europe and beyond. This #StPatricksDay, we honor the heritage that shaped us and the partnerships that continue to drive us forward. Sláinte! ??

Alltech was proud to bring the voice of the agri-food producer to the conversation this week at The Economist Impact Sustainability Week: Energy Transition Summit. Tara McCarthy, our global vice president of ESG, joined leaders from McDonald's, McCain Foods, Kraft Heinz and ofi to discuss the future of sustainable food systems and the challenges producers face in transitioning to regenerative practices.
Sustainability isn’t a department — it’s the bedrock of strategy. That message was loud and clear throughout the Economist Impact Sustainability Week: Energy Transition Summit, where I had the opportunity to join a fascinating panel discussion alongside leaders from McDonald's, McCain Foods, Kraft Heinz and ofi. Bringing a farmer-first perspective to the conversation, it was an excellent opportunity to share insights from our research about the real challenges and barriers producers face in transitioning to more sustainable systems. A key takeaway? Sustainability cannot be an afterthought—it must be embedded into the DNA of every product, practice and solution. Our panel also tackled another critical issue: bridging the gap between agriculture and consumers. Too often, the language of agriculture —and even more so, sustainable agriculture — is so complex, it creates a disconnect between the amazing work being done and how it is understood. Often progress updates are shared - progress on soil health, long-term sustainability targets and more, but how do we connect these proof points with consumers? How can we tell the story in a way that resonates? The agri-food industry has a responsibility not just to communicate the science, but to connect through the human stories behind the data.? Compelling, science-led storytelling is central to Alltech's vision of #Working Together for a Planet of Plenty — and nowhere is this more evident than in World Without Cows. This documentary expands the conversation around vital topics like food security, emissions reduction and the future of agriculture, inviting everyone to the table. Events like this weeks summit are essential to driving meaningful dialogue and action toward a more sustainable food system. Thank you to Economist Impact for hosting such a dynamic and insightful event. #worldwithoutcows #EconSustainability Will Streatfeild Beth Hart, Charlie Angelakos, Rishi Kalra, Patrick Sheridan, Pratima Singh

The success of Asian livestock production hinges on the quality of key grains — such as corn, wheat and barley — that are imported from around the world, including Europe, North America, Canada and Latin America. However, the import of these ingredients often comes with quality challenges, and in particular the presence of unwanted contaminants such as mycotoxins. Visit our experts at #VIVAsia2025 (Booth #3410, Hall 2) or join our live webinar, "Mycotoxin Insights to Empower Your Nutritional Strategy", on March 27 at 3:00 p.m. Singapore time to explore key findings from the Alltech 2025 Asia Import Risk Analysis. Months after Hurricane Helene, communities in North Carolina are still struggling — roads remain impassable, families are displaced, and farms have been devastated. In remembrance of Dr. Pearse Lyons, we reflect on the many ways we continue to make a difference. Earlier this year, Dr. Mark Lyons, alongside Hillary Tucker and Bert Kissick, led the Latin America team on a detour en route to #IPPE2025 in Atlanta to support local relief efforts. They delivered hay for farmers, supplies for families, and a portable sawmill to help turn fallen trees into new opportunities. For both the team and the community, the visit was a powerful reminder of resilience and the impact of lending a helping hand. Not long after, devastating floods once again struck eastern Kentucky and West Virginia—many still recovering from the 2022 floods. As Hillary Tucker put it, “Every single donation, every single act of volunteering makes a difference. People need to know they’re not forgotten. They need to know we care. Sometimes, they just need us to listen to their stories.” Join us in supporting recovery efforts through the Pearse Lyons ACE Foundation: pearselyonsace.org Alltech América Latina | Paulo Rigolin | Rosmariam Nouel | Cristian Salazar | Bianca Brandao Martins | Clodys Menacho

“The legacy I would like to make is ‘We made a difference.’” —Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder of Alltech Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Pearse Lyons, a pioneering scientist, savvy entrepreneur and compassionate leader who was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. Throughout his life, Dr. Lyons made significant philanthropic donations to many charities, but he did far more than that. He was tireless in his service to others, often visiting in person and working shoulder-to-shoulder with his team and others to support disaster relief efforts in agricultural communities, advance educational initiatives and create opportunities for underserved populations. Dr. Lyons’ remarkable legacy lives on through the spirit of giving he instilled within Alltech and through the Pearse Lyons ACE Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening farming communities, nurturing curiosity, and offering a helping hand to those in need. The foundation supports disaster relief activities, such as Burkmann Nutrition’s Adopt-a-Farmer program, which provides aid to farmers affected by Hurricane Helene, and assistance programs for farmers and ranchers in flood-ravaged Eastern Kentucky. It also invests in educational initiatives and engagement projects that foster resilience in struggling communities, including supporting three primary schools in Haiti, multiple children’s homes in Mexico and a domestic partner abuse shelter in Kentucky, for example. Whether through small acts of kindness or far-reaching scientific achievements, Dr. Lyons was committed to making a difference. Through the Pearse Lyons ACE Foundation, we help advance his mission. Join us in celebrating his legacy of service. Learn more at pearselyonsace.org.?
