Strengthening Economic Growth in Reading: BRE Meeting at Thermo Fisher Scientific This morning, we gathered at Thermo Fisher Scientific for a Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) meeting, bringing together economic development professionals from Alloy, REDI Cincinnati, the City of Reading, OH, City of Forest Park Park, City of Sharonville, City of Blue Ash , City of Springdale, Hamilton County, Ohio, and Workforce Council of Southwest Ohio. The meeting kicked off with introductions, followed by updates from the City of Reading on ongoing and upcoming initiatives, highlighting the city's continued business expansion and economic growth. Our hosts at Thermo Fisher Scientific gave a presentation showcasing their work and impact in the region, reinforcing their role as a key driver of innovation and industry growth. We also heard from Derek Chancellor, who provided insights on TechCred and other state programs that support workforce development and upskilling opportunities for businesses.
