Our CCO, Chuck Price, sat down with Global Mining Review to discuss how Allonnia's D-Solve technology achieved a milestone towards sustainably upgrading mineral concentrates. The recent demo achieved: ? 40% reduction in magnesium impurities from nickel-sulfide concentrate ? 18% increase in nickel grade This is a major leap toward decarbonizing mining and maximizing critical metal recovery—all with the power of biology. And we’re just getting started. We're planning to scale to a mobile pilot unit later this year! Read the full article: https://hubs.li/Q038GfQY0

At Allonnia, we believe biology holds the key to unlocking more sustainable mineral processing, and our latest milestone proves it. In a recent demonstration at SGS's metallurgical lab, our Allonnia D-Solve? process successfully reduced magnesium impurities by 40% and increased nickel grade by 18% in a continuous process, validating the power of our biologically generated, recyclable Biosolution?. By selectively removing impurities from concentrates, D-Solve can help mine sites increase production, reduce waste, and lower CO? emissions. With the support of SGS and BHP's Think & Act Differently program, we’re advancing this breakthrough toward real-world applications. How often do we all think about the trash we generate?Important question!
Landfills aren’t just dumping grounds—they’re where science meets sustainability. ? For years, I didn’t think much about landfills—they were simply where my trash ended up. Yet, the world generates nearly 2 billion tonnes of municipal solid waste every year, filling over 45,000 landfills globally. Many of these landfills contain toxic materials that gradually break down, producing leachate—an oftentimes harmful mixture of pollutants, heavy metals, and PFAS that threaten our ecosystems and contaminate our drinking water. At Allonnia, we’re working with our partners to change this. We’re harnessing the power of biology and nature to drive innovation and tackle this crisis. We’re focusing on the role microorganisms play in breaking down harmful chemicals and creating sustainable solutions for water treatment. But the solution doesn’t just come from one angle. It requires collective action: ●??????Consumers: We are responsible for minimizing waste creation and proper management. ●??????Regulators: Enforce stricter rules and hold companies accountable. ●??????Treatment Companies: Develop better technologies to clean water sustainably. When any part of this system fails, we all suffer. Together, we can make meaningful change. The future of a cleaner planet is in our hands—let’s make it happen. #Sustainability #Innovation #EnvironmentalImpact #CleanWater #CircularEconomy #PFAS #ClimateAction #GreenInnovation #Biosolids #CleanWaterAct #Wastewater #biodiversity #GreenBuilding #EcoTech
