Exciting news: we’ve raised $21.5M total through our $16.5M Series A! Thank you to our investors Theory Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, & Amplify, among others. Blockchain data is hard, messy, and chaotic. Historically, blockchains have been optimized for getting data onto the blockchain and less for getting data OUT of the blockchain. Allium abstracts the complexity with a simple way to query blockchain data. Whether uncovering the rise of stablecoins with Visa, deciphering tokenization and ETFs for financial institutions, fighting fraud and bot farms, or keeping blockchain apps running at loads of 90,000 qps, it's been a fun past two years. Very interesting data shared by Sid Venkateswaran from Electric Capital using Allium data. 1) Trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DeFi) vs centralized exchanges (CeFi) is up to 20%. I think this marks an ATH as more users go on-chain ... also a data point to support that crypto user experience is improving compared to last cycle. 2) DEX volume more than doubled from q3->q4. As the data in the tweet highlights, a lot of that was driven by small transactions on Solana and Base. With the strong presence of meemcoins on both chains, this shows the massive potential of memecoins to pull in activity and new users. I recall reading that the TRUMP memecoin brought 400k first time users into crypto. 3) I wonder what Coinbase q4 results looks like and how much trading volumes increased QoQ. It will give us an indication of how much value will be driven to DeFi as users hunt for new tokens that are not yet listed on CeFi venues. This is bullish for DeFi! https://lnkd.in/g624RpNr
