Allied Power is thrilled to bring the second installation of our job shadowing program to the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant LLC Clean Energy Center, partnering with UNiCON Rochester and Constellation. The program offers future plant workers a unique opportunity to gain experience and insights into the industry. This initiative not only fosters professional growth but also strengthens our commitment to the trades through the Constellation nuclear footprint. ? Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting pre-apprentices from UNICON Rochester during the scheduled refueling outage at the Ginna Clean Energy Center. Over the course of two weeks, participants had the chance to shadow skilled professionals—observing and learning from experts in various trades like welding, mechanics, and crane operations. This program is a direct reflection of our dedication to preparing the next generation of workers in the nuclear industry.

With 34 years of experience in the power industry, Russell Battles has been a key player at Allied Power for the past 3.5 years, overseeing the Fossil Division. His journey in the field began early, rooted in a family legacy that dates back to the 1940s when his grandfather started with Brown & Root Industrial Services, LLC. Today, Russell manages the Maintenance, Modifications, and Construction projects within the division, ensuring that Allied Power provides efficient and cost-effective solutions to clients. His leadership is characterized by a people-first approach, prioritizing safety and the well-being of his team, which he considers essential to the success of their work. One of Russell's greatest passions is mentoring the next generation of industry professionals. He finds deep fulfillment in watching new talent enter the field and helping them develop their skills.
