Overcoming homelessness and prison, he taught himself economics and became the first student ever to be accepted to LSE graduate school without an undergraduate degree, and later, the first formerly incarcerated person to earn an MBA from MIT. Along the way, he published research on venture capital and entrepreneurship and began investing in early-stage startups. After working at two other venture shops, earlier this year, Daniel launched Rock Yard Ventures, an early-stage firm focused on core industries, backed by some of the biggest names and families in finance today.
