As Women in Construction Week comes to a close, we're reflecting on the leadership style of Craftsman Electric, Inc President, Kay Fischer. "One of the reasons that I have been successful in this industry is because I try to treat everyone that I deal with the way that I would like to be treated." Thank you, Kay- we'll take that with us into the weekend... #wicweek #wicweek25 #womeninconstructionweek2025

Happy Friday of Women in Construction Week! Sonny Wagner, Project Manager at Skanska gratefully acknowledges her colleagues in today's spotlight: “What I know To Be True: I couldn’t successfully execute projects without the expertise of our local trade partners. Construction opportunities are available for women (and men) of all backgrounds, and without a formal construction education I have benefitted tremendously from the knowledge of those I’ve worked with in the field.” #wicweek #wicweek25 #womeninconstructionweek2025

The Women in Construction Week spotlight is shining on Jalyn Stewart , Assistant Engineer at Turner Construction Company. Jalyn makes it easy to understand why a career in construction is so enticing. “The reason I love this industry is that every day is different from the last. You’re continually working toward the goal of completing a project and then you get to move on to the next one. I love that you are always getting to learn something new while also bringing lessons learned from past projects to new ones. I think it’s amazing seeing something start out as an idea or drawings set and turn into a fully occupied building that people get to utilize every day. It’s rewarding to see!” #wicweek #wicweek25 #womeninconstructionweek2025
