It's always a privilege to spend time with the Columbia Basin Chapter of SHRM. Great conversation with HR leaders from our region on what employers can do to navigate and combat America's rising healthcare costs. Thanks for including me in your Fall Conference, CBSHRM!

It’s an honor for the Alliant Employee Benefits - Spokane to be recognized as the Best Place to Work in the Inland Northwest in the large employer category. It’s a testament to our leadership and culture to be recognized against such great employers in our community. This award validates what we see every day, a 97% employee retention rate, consistent growth in a competitive marketplace, and people who show up energized to serve the clients that are the reason we get to do what we do. Thank you to INSHRM (Inland Northwest SHRM), Spokane Journal of Business, Providence, and everyone else who came together to put this event together. It is always a great event that requires a ton of work, and we are happy to be a part of it.

We gathered with our carrier partners, clients, and local non-profits in late September to host our 2nd annual Alliant Community Celebration. This event was born from the idea that collectively our team and our partners can do more than we can individually, and at the same time help build the community we live and work in. We are proud to announce that this year we were able to raise over $63,000 each for our non-profit partners Maddie's Place, #2ndHarvestFoodBank , and LaunchNW. The Alliant team is so thankful to be a part of giving back to each of these organizations that are doing such important work in our community, and are excited to continue doing so going forward. Thank you to all who were able to contribute and join us for this fantastic event, from our carrier partners whom we rely on daily to do the business that we do, and our clients who trust us to continue to position them for success, and lastly, for all those who played a role in organizing and planning this event. We are pleased to announce a promotion from within in our Alliant Inland NW Division office. Tera Krueger was promoted to Vice President and Senior Operations Project Manager for Alliant’s Inland Northwest Employee Benefits Practice which includes all of Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana. Tera is now responsible for managing and oversight of client service operations and service teams. This is a newly created position, due to Alliant’s incredible client and thus staff growth in the Inland Northwest over the last decade since Moloney ONeill joined Alliant and is another indicator of Alliant’s continued forward thinking and commitment to our market. Tera joined Alliant in 2015 as an Account Executive and was responsible for managing over $3 million in revenue involving several national publicly traded and local large employers. Tera has 25 years of industry experience. Prior to Tera joining Alliant in 2015, she worked 4 years with another large employee benefits consulting practice. During her first 13 years in the industry, she was with The Guardian Insurance Company in several lead roles. Please join me in celebrating this huge (and well deserved) promotion which will benefit over 75 employee benefit professionals in the Inland NW Division!

Marcus Jackson was promoted to Managing Director for Alliant’s Inland Northwest Employee Benefits Practice covering Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. The operating unit now comprises over 100 employee benefit professionals.??His consistent leadership is a positive example for all he works with as well as the clients he serves. Marcus is an accomplished ambassador in regional Mergers and Acquisitions and finding the next generation of talented employee benefits professionals. Marcus has been in the industry for 35 years, including the first decade of experience on the insurance company/health plan side as a Sales Executive and ultimately the Director of Sales. This is his 26th year with Alliant as a Consultant / Partner (including Moloney + O’Neill which was acquired by Alliant in 2014). Through his leadership, Alliant has maintained one of the largest and most successful employee benefit consulting practices in the Inland Northwest.?

We are thrilled to share a heartwarming moment of community collaboration and generosity! Alliant is delighted to have contributed $1,000 in sponsorship to the Intermountain Children's Home for their annual fundraiser, the "Festival of Trees." This year's event was nothing short of spectacular, with thousands of enthusiastic attendees joining in the festivities throughout the entire weekend. It was a true celebration of community spirit, all in support of a wonderful cause. Our donation played a part in illuminating the event, helping to create an impactful and memorable experience for everyone involved. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause and support the incredible work that the Intermountain Children's Home does for the community.
