The Alliance for Positive Health (formerly the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York) is a community-based organization dedicated to improving lives impacted by HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. For 35 years the agency has modeled client-centered care and provided skills to help those we serve make informed decisions. The Alliance for Positive Health is the preeminent provider of AIDS services in a seventeen county region in Upstate New York with offices in Albany, Hudson Falls, Hudson, Plattsburgh, and Schenectady. We work with individuals who face barriers to accessing health care and social services and strive to reduce health disparities. Our clients' diagnoses are often complicated by stigma, addiction, poverty, homelessness, incarceration or mental illness – and these are the factors which also place them at risk of infection with HIV, Hepatitis C, and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

?? Did you know: The Alliance for Positive Health is a participating member in the Capital District ETE (End the Epidemic) Steering Committee. The committee discusses and develops efforts to end the epidemic, and to strengthen coordination among service providers in the region. -- At the Alliance for Positive Health, we are committed to ensuring individuals with HIV age with dignity, grace, and support. Last Friday our team presented on our People Aging with HIV Program at the NYS Links Traveling Conference and the NYS DOH ETE Steering Committee. Initiatives like NY Links help to achieve better outcomes for persons living with HIV/AIDS, by bridging gas between HIV-related services and improving systems for monitoring, recording, and accessing HIV care related information in NYS. Like all the work that we do, progress is best made when we work collaboratively with like-minded partners. Thank you for having us at the conference! First time in Panama City Beach, Florida, for my first Dining Out for Life Conference on behalf of the Alliance for Positive Health. Just finished up "bootcamp" for all first timers :) Great first day so far. Can't wait to see what is to come for the rest of the week. Real excited to learn how we can enhance our fundraising, marketing, and events to meet the needs of the community we serve.
