The Alliance for Pulmonary Hypertension is a proud member of the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform and we are delighted to join in their World Lung 2024 campaign on COPD, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Pulmonary hypertension is a common complication of COPD. COPD is a debilitating disease that is burdening hundreds of millions of people and healthcare systems around the world. Yet, solutions exist. So, why aren’t we doing more to implement them? A seismic shift is needed in how we manage COPD care. Moving from a reactive model of care to a proactive approach will not only help save lives but lift the pressure on primary care and in turn, the financial burden of COPD.
