Last year Stanford Impact Labs invested in Al Roth and Alliance for Paired Kidney Donation to adapt a proven life-saving innovation (Kidney Exchange) to Brazil and India as models for their respective regions.?Al Roth won a Nobel prize, in part, for his insights around matching donors so that more people can receive life-saving kidney transplants. Yet today, more than 100,000 people globally are stuck on waiting lists--and many of them will die while still waiting.
