According to the latest #OpenDoorsReport, a record 1.1 million international students studied at U.S. colleges and universities in 2023/24 – a 7% increase from the previous year. Other findings include: ?? Students from India and China accounted for 54% of international students in the U.S. ??U.S. #highered institutions saw strong growth from diverse places of origin worldwide. Ghana, Bangladesh, and India all grew by more than twenty percent. ??44 U.S. states experienced growth in their international student totals in 2023/24. California, New York, and Texas were the top U.S. states hosting international students. ??Reaching a record high, more than 500,000 international graduate students studied at U.S. #highered institutions. ??56% of international students in the U.S. studied in STEM fields in 2023/24.
