Where Teachers Succeed & Scholars Achieve
关于我们
Alliance College-Ready Public Schools was founded in 2004 on the belief that all children––regardless of ZIP code, income, ability, or background––are capable of achieving at high levels. Alliance is one of the largest and most successful nonprofit public charter school networks in the nation, operating 26 high-performing, tuition-free middle and high schools in Los Angeles communities that are systemically oppressed. Alliance has a proven record of success for our 13,000 scholars and 14,000 alumni, 97% of whom are scholars of color. Though 93% of our incoming 6th graders enter Alliance reading below grade level, they outperform California state and local districts on state standardized testing. Ninety-five percent of Alliance scholars have graduated from high school and been accepted to college. Our schools have been recognized among the best in the state and nation by the U.S. Department of Education, the California Department of Education, U.S. News & World Report, and the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier School of Education.

Supporting our new teachers goes beyond innovation—it's about care, growth, and commitment. While change is essential, sometimes the most impactful work is in how we nurture our first-year teachers, helping them with self-care, classroom management, and lesson preparation. A huge thank you to Nicole Guillen, our Manager of Leadership Development, for bringing our vision to life through the New Teacher Professional Development (NTPD) program and to our guest co-facilitator Ariel Sierra, an amazing 9th grade ELA teacher from Alliance Morgan McKinzie High School, for her partnership. This year-long initiative provides a space for first and second-year teachers to connect, learn, and support one another. Rooted in self-care, NTPD also focuses on building skills aligned with the Alliance Core Rubric, ensuring equity and access for all students. By caring for our teachers, we are directly caring for our students. Together, we are building a strong foundation for future success. #TeacherSupport #ProfessionalDevelopment #NewTeachers #EducationMatters #SelfCareInEducation #EquityInEducation #OneAlliance

Meet Dea Tramble, the dedicated principal at Alliance William & Carol Ouchi High School. Under her leadership, Ouchi had a 100% graduation rate last year, surpassing the overall graduation rates in neighboring LA schools. With a passion for building a diverse and inclusive school community, Principal Tramble has made it her personal mission to increase African American enrollment and ensure all scholars have access to the resources they need to thrive. We’re proud to have leaders like Principal Tramle making a difference in our schools! ?? #EquityinEducation

This past summer, the Career and Internship Programs team held a capstone event to celebrate the incredible growth of our scholars in the Alliance Internship Program! Interns showcased their journeys through posters featuring their SMART goals, resumes, and reflections, sharing these achievements with mentors, families, and professionals. Looking forward, the team has exciting plans! Thanks to a $500k grant from the Broad Foundation, they’re developing a career readiness curriculum and preparing for the first network-wide Alliance Career Day in Fall 2025. ?? A special shoutout to Esaú Molina, Redjan Quarto, and Christian Cruz-Hernandez for their dedication and passion in making this program a unique experience for our scholars! #charterschool

Thank you for sharing! We're thrilled to see aspiring teachers from Alliance College-Ready Public Schools and our partner organizations come together to explore new credentialing pathways.
I’m feeling energized and hopeful for the future after this week’s Los Angeles Teacher Preparation Pathway (LATPP) community event! Aspiring teachers from Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, Burbank Unified School District, Green Dot Public Schools California, and Alliance College-Ready Public Schools met with leaders from Los Angeles County Office of Education, Alder Graduate School of Education, California State University-Dominguez Hills, and Marshall Teacher Residency to build community and learn about different credentialing pathways that are available. Over the next four years, our team at TNTP will support 450+ paraeducators and support staff to become TK-12 teachers who are well prepared to serve the needs of multilingual learners in Los Angeles County.
