Celebrating 20 Years of Alliance! ?? As we mark our 20th anniversary, we’re thrilled to unveil a refreshed brand that captures the spirit of possibility, growth, and upward momentum for our scholars. Our new logo, anchored by a strong triangle, represents Alliance’s stability and strength within our communities, while its graphic elements reflect the diverse, upward journeys of each scholar. Over the past two decades, Alliance has transformed alongside our scholars, families, and community partners. Our recent Strong Schools, Stronger Communities conference brought together leaders across LA to reimagine the future of K-12 public education. CEO Pablo Villavicencio says it best: “We need everyone here—those on the frontlines, our educators, community leaders, our policymakers, our best thinkers—to reimagine and create public schools where our young people thrive and are nurtured to excel and live into their fullest version of themselves so our communities can thrive.” As we enter this new era, we want to hear from you: What are your hopes for Alliance’s future? #charterschools

Where Teachers Succeed & Scholars Achieve
关于我们
Alliance College-Ready Public Schools was founded in 2004 on the belief that all children––regardless of ZIP code, income, ability, or background––are capable of achieving at high levels. Alliance is one of the largest and most successful nonprofit public charter school networks in the nation, operating 26 high-performing, tuition-free middle and high schools in Los Angeles communities that are systemically oppressed. Alliance has a proven record of success for our 13,000 scholars and 14,000 alumni, 97% of whom are scholars of color. Though 93% of our incoming 6th graders enter Alliance reading below grade level, they outperform California state and local districts on state standardized testing. Ninety-five percent of Alliance scholars have graduated from high school and been accepted to college. Our schools have been recognized among the best in the state and nation by the U.S. Department of Education, the California Department of Education, U.S. News & World Report, and the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier School of Education.

Our AHHH!-Lliance Spooktacular wasn’t just another fun-filled Halloween celebration. It was a vibrant showcase of what makes the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools community so special—our people, our mission, and the dedication that drives us to support our scholars every day. It’s easy for organizations to say “our people are our greatest strength,” but it takes intentional action to truly demonstrate that. By creating opportunities for our staff to involve their loved ones, we foster more than just team spirit—we nurture a deeper sense of belonging and organizational affinity. It wasn’t just about candy and costumes. It was about being hyper-intentional in building spaces where our staff can connect, laugh, and share moments outside of the day-to-day work. These “third spaces,” where families and loved ones are welcomed, are crucial for creating a work environment where everyone feels valued—both as individuals and as members of a larger community. The highlights? Trick-or-treat stations are sponsored by our amazing schools and teams, each one brimming with creativity and team spirit. It was a night filled with smiles, laughter, and connection—a reminder of how important it is to celebrate not just what we do, but the people who make it all possible. ?? How does your organization foster a sense of belonging for its employees? Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments! ??? If you missed the event, don’t worry! You can relive the magic through our video recap below ?? ?? Feel free to share this post to keep the conversation going about employee engagement and community.

As we celebrate 20 years of educational excellence, we look back at a key milestone in 2007-2008 when Alliance Patti and Peter Neuwirth Leadership Academy and Alliance Jack H. Skirball Middle School opened their doors. These schools have been pivotal in shaping the leaders of tomorrow through dedication to academic achievement and community building. Here's to many years of transforming lives and empowering the future! ???
