What an incredible way to launch a building! FarmWorks One celebrated its grand opening today with a crowd of over 300 attendees, marking the occasion by hosting the Bisnow State of Collin County event. The buzz from the event was all about transformation and growth steadily heading northward, with Allen perfectly positioned to thrive. We're thrilled to have McKinney Economic Development Corporation as an exceptional partner and co-sponsor for this event. This impressive 102,000 square-foot Class A office building is the first of its kind along the SH 121 corridor in Allen, nestled within the vibrant mixed-use development, The Farm in Allen. MD7 has been a fantastic community partner and we couldn't be happier that you chose Allen, Texas as your home!
Five years ago, a meeting with the Allen Economic Development Corporation changed the trajectory of MD7. Lynn Whitcher, Cheryl Bobbitt, and Mario Martinez had spent a couple of days visiting various Dallas area cities to discuss a potential relocation of our U.S. Headquarters. The last appointment on the tour was a 1PM meeting with the AEDC arranged through David Ellis. Taking a quick note of the appointment, Lynn wrote this message on her hand... It was a great meeting. And although the company put the idea of a move on the shelf for various reasons, Dan Bowman, David Ellis, and Tracey Cline kept in touch over the years. In 2020, we visited the idea again, ultimately leading to our H.Q. relocation to City of Allen in 2021. We could not have known then just how invaluable the AEDC would be in helping us settle into our new home. We are grateful for the community introductions made by Dan, David, and the team, the ideas shared with Jan Jungmann, and new friends like Julie Brown and Nicole Bywater. Today, MD7 leaders serve on the Allen Economic Development Corporation Advisory Board, as well as the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce Board. We have partnered with Jennifer Cano at the Marriott Dallas Allen Hotel & Convention Center and Jan Jungmann at the AEDC to host a monthly networking event for the One Bethany area busineses. We worked with Chris Gaston and the Credit Union of Texas to plan a watch party for the total solar eclipse. We have even particiated in the local Christmas parade. MD7 is proud to be a part of the City of Allen. We are grateful to the team at the AEDC for their leadership and dedication in making Allen a premier community in which to live, work, and thrive, and we are looking forward to the next five years!
