We’re in the midst of a credit crisis but it’s not what you think. ? The US has more than 100 million credit invisible, unscorable, and subprime consumers – and credit data is the culprit behind much of this in several ways. ? Lack of standardization and unification in how data gets reported, lack of incentives (and technology) for alternative data providers, and legacy-tech-reliant traditional financial institutions all contribute to the problem. ? This doesn’t even account for the millions of consumers who are negatively impacted by incomplete and inaccurate credit data in their credit profiles. ? So we’re doing something about it. Bloom is helping remove the roadblocks that currently exist in furnishment (i.e., credit data reporting) to foster a more inclusive credit ecosystem. ?
