You may have read in APhA’s Pharmacy Today that there is an urgent request to help make the final push on PBM reform by contacting your legislators and asking for their support in passing legislation. Click here to contact your legislator (this will take less than one minute of your time):?https://lnkd.in/eewXjXgV?You can utilize the sample language provided to quickly contact your legislators, or you can customize the email in the text box to make it more personal before sending.?It is highly recommended to customize your messaging to create more impact.?Include a personal story if you can!??You may have heard about many recent pharmacy closures in Western, PA, and this would be a great way to advocate and show your support! As noted in a Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association update, PPA is also actively working on PBM reform in Pennsylvania through the state licensure. There is a Senate bill – SB 1000, and a House memorandum seeking co-sponsors. Visit the PPA Legislative Action Page,?https://lnkd.in/eikwmPww, to learn more and submit a letter to your lawmakers. Of note, Duquesne School of Pharmacy hosted the annual Allegheny County Pharmacist Association (ACPA) legislative meeting in mid-February where Rep. Natalie Mihalek and Senator Wayne Fontana were in attendance along with several faculty/staff/pharmacy students from Duquesne and University of Pittsburgh as well as local pharmacists from ACPA. We received a link from a recent PA Ins. Dept. budget hearing where Rep. Mihalek talked about attending this event at Duquesne (go to 1:25). Your voice matters! Keep up the great work, everyone!?https://lnkd.in/eE56KAKA
