This is a transformative moment for our company—and for me personally. Having known, worked with, and admired Janine for years, I am beyond excited to welcome her into this pivotal leadership role. Janine’s remarkable background speaks for itself. During her tenure at Southern Wine and Spirits, the largest alcohol beverage distribution company in the country, she managed massive P&Ls, drove innovation, and successfully built startups within the organization. Beyond her business acumen, Janine led teams of hundreds, mentoring and inspiring people across the organization. She was not only a strategic leader but also a culture shaper, leaving a lasting impact on operations, people, and performance.     Throwing it back to the unforgettable Big Gay Prom ????? activation we put together for Stoli back in the Y2k era. The idea stemmed from the insight that many LGBTQ individuals in the '90s and 2000s didn't get to attend prom with the person they truly wanted to. So, we decided to change that. We started the campaign with on-premise activations at the top LGBTQ bars across Chicagoland?—places like Sidetrack, Hydrate, and Roscoe's—who's ownership became our prom committee. At these venues, we were on the hunt for the Stoli Prom King and Queen. All Terrain collaborated with key accounts to create drink specials and specialty nights to support the event. These pre-prom events not only built excitement but also strengthened community ties. The culmination was the Big Gay Prom held at the iconic Hilton Towers Grand Ballroom. We crowned the King and Queen, who then had the honor of riding with Stoli on a float in the Gay Pride Parade. The night was MC by local icon Terri Hemmert from WXRT and Jessica Halem and featured music from Chicago's own Sixteen Candles and a memorable performance by Julie Brown, making it an event to remember. This activation didn’t just build brand love for Stoli; it showcased how the power of experiential marketing can create safe, welcoming spaces where people can rewrite their own stories. Testimonials from some of the biggest influencers in Chicago's LGBTQ scene showed that the prom struck a chord. Not only did it drive sales for Stoli, but it also fostered a strong sense of community. When done right, experiential marketing can truly drive social change. When brands stand for something bigger and act on it, they become part of a movement, helping to move humanity forward. Looking back, it’s clear that this wasn't just about creating a campaign for Stoli; it was about addressing social issues, breaking down barriers, and building stronger communities—all while having a blast along the way.
