This year, Allstate Fire Equipment would like to remind everyone that the U.S. Fire Administration reports that the number of open-flame fires on Christmas Day is more than double the average, and New Year's Day runs a close second. Even worse, holiday fire fatalities are nearly 70% higher than average, and property loss is 34% greater. Please be aware of potential fire hazards as you prepare for and enjoy your holiday festivities. Know where the fire extinguishers and emergency exits are. Keep paper products and gift wrap away from fireplaces and open flames. Make certain that your electrical wiring is safe and the holiday lighting is properly wired and installed.
