?? Spring 2025 Development School for Youth is here! ?? This month, young people across Chicago, Dallas, New York, and New Jersey stepped into their futures as they joined the All Stars Project’s Development School for Youth (DSY) program! ?? Chicago kicked off the Leslie J. Raffel DSY program with an unforgettable orientation at 360 Chicago inside the iconic John Hancock Building! 56 DSY students—both new and returning—connected with 30+ corporate partners as they embarked on their journey of professional development. ?? In New York, 40 young people took their first steps toward career success at orientation, engaging with partners, practicing their professional performance, and gaining confidence for their future. A huge thank you to DSY Trustee Jeff Hurwitz and National Board Chair Nathaniel Christian for inspiring our newest DSY class! ? New Jersey kicked off DSY Networking Orientation with a bang, welcoming over 90 amazing young people! We welcomed long-time partners like Robert Ross to join us to connect with our youth. ??? Dallas Works students sharpened their public speaking skills at Fidelity Investments, learning the art of small talk, personal branding, and confident communication with the support of our corporate volunteers. ?? With every handshake, introduction, and moment of courage, these young people are transforming their futures. We’re thrilled to announce that Sonia Menon, COO, Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, has been appointed Chair of the ASP of Chicago Board! ?? ? Why this matters: ? Sonia has been involved with ASP in 2007 & a National Board member since 2022 ? She is passionate about expanding career development opportunities for thousands of young people ? Sonia and Neal Gerber Eisenberg have participated in the full array of ASP programs (hosting workshops, special events, development coaching and sponsoring interns) and have organized many partners to join them. Neal Gerber Eisenberg hosted the first Chicago DSY workshop in 2009. ?? What does it take to go from being hesitant to speak in group settings to confidently addressing an audience of 650 people? For the Dallas College students who participated in our Student Success Plenary Session panel, the answer was just?one or two workshops with the All Stars Project, Inc.! I along with these now, confident DC students, had the honor to share our development through performance work with the student success staff?who then joined us in play and performance, experiencing firsthand the approach that helped these students?find their voices. The highlight of the day? Hearing the student panelists share how they transformed from?shy participants?to?confident performers—not just on stage but in their daily lives. It was a powerful testament to the role performance plays in?personal?development?and professional growth.
