Meet our dear friend Octavia Bradley from Reveal to Heal Consulting. Her organization reaches out to many children in foster care and those aging out of foster care. It's been so amazing to work with her and her mission to help youth in our community succeed with the challenges they have been given. Her organization will use the duffle bags with goodies inside to help children and young adults transition from one home to another. #nomoregarbagebags

Did you know, often times than not, many teachers buy their own school supplies? In effort to help them save some money, we've made a goody bag of craft scissors and books for the classroom as a part of our literacy program. If you are a teacher or know a teacher who could some supplies for their classroom, do reach out to us.

Many children do not have a suitcase or a duffel bag when they enter foster care, especially?in emergency situations. They often have to bring whatever belongings they can fit into a plastic trash bag. Carrying belongings in garbage bags can have a negative impact on foster children's self-esteem and sense of worth. It can make them feel disposable and devalued, reinforcing the trauma of displacement. Thanks to our friends and to the donors at Foster Love, our organization is helping over 40 foster kids with their own duffle bags, blanket, coloring books and a teddy bear!
