As the Executive Director of Melanin Base Miles, INC, Sheila is leading the charge in supporting marginalized riders across gravel, mountain biking, and cyclocross. This year, MBM is expanding its programming. With support from All Bikes Welcome in obtaining her BICP Level 1 coaching license, Sheila will be providing coaching support to MBM’s riders and Gravel Team. Early giving starts March 27th, and the main event is Thursday, April 3rd, from 8 AM – 8 PM. At All Bikes Welcome, we’re breaking barriers in cycling by providing free and low-cost outdoor programming that creates more inclusion and belonging in the outdoors. Whether you’re new to mountain biking or an experienced rider, our goal is to create a fun, supportive space for everyone to learn, grow, and connect. ? Board Member Highlight ? Elysia Contreras Springer, President, Co-chair of the All Bikes Welcome Board of Directors! Elysia (she/her) is an artist and educator with over 15 years of experience working in classrooms from early childhood through adult education. She currently works with Northwest Arkansas Community College as a National Science Foundation Grant Director for the Integrated Design Lab. Elysia is also a big-time entrepreneur! She is the founder of ReggioBaby + Sensee Toys and co-founder of Gnargo Bike Co. both start-up businesses based in Bentonville, Arkansas.?

? Board Member Highlight ? Annijke Wade, President, Co-chair of the All Bikes Welcome Board of Directors! Annijke (she/her) is an adaptive mountain biker and para off-road cyclist.?In 2021, Annijke sustained a spinal cord injury in a downhill mountain biking accident. Just three months after her accident, she was back on a mountain bike. In 2023, Annijke founded DirtBound - a para off-road cycling initiative. Outside of loving mountain biking and being outdoors, Annijke is also passionate about making the outdoors and mountain biking a safe space for all.?
