Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a leading developer of sustainable energy solutions and Jameel Energy have welcomed the announcement by the Spanish government that it is awarding EUR 163.646 million (US $ 172.8 million) towards the development of new, innovative energy storage projects in Spain. ? FRV has been officially awarded government funding for three battery energy storage systems (BESS) in: ·????????Figueres – Barcelona – Stand-alone storage – 49 MW – 196 MWh ·????????Camarreal – Cantabria - Stand-alone storage – 50 MW – 200 MWh ·????????Palau – Barcelona - Stand-alone storage – 20 MW – 80 MWh ? The funding will help develop a total of 805.55 MWh of storage capacity with 24 of the initiatives related to thermal systems and 35 projects offering stand-alone systems totaling 690.2 MWh. ?
