Current classical encryption protocols, such as RSA and Diffie-Hellman, are vulnerable to quantum computing technologies. This white paper introduces 3 methods to counter the security threat of quantum computation: quantum key distribution (QKD), Quantum Secure Communication (QSC), and interference-based QKD (IQKD). These protocols leverage the unique properties of quantum mechanics to ensure secure key distribution, providing potential solutions to the threats posed by quantum computers.
