Eric Lee led the "Gotham Green Machine" team to victory at the basketball championship, competing with founders and climate leaders! ?? We are thrilled to welcome two new team members to Aligned! Rachel Powlen joins us as an Operations Assistant, supporting the Aligned Climate Fund and Aligned Solar Partners with investment tracking, reporting, and process optimization. She brings valuable experience in impact investing from her time at Northeastern University. Min Ah Chang joins us as a part-time Bookkeeper, responsible for managing transactions, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations. She is currently pursuing her B.B.A. in Accountancy and brings hands-on experience in tax and payroll management. Welcome to the team!

Exciting news! Our very own Eric Lee, Senior VP of ESG & Investor Relations, will be taking part in SoCal’s DeepTech Week! He's been invited by the Alliance for Southern California Innovation to dive deep into climate investing on a panel alongside some incredible thought leaders. Tune in on September 18th as Eric and the panel discuss how hard tech is paving the way for a sustainable future.

We love seeing innovative clean energy projects highlighted in the media, like the one by Texas Solar Sheep and Enel Group, where over 6,000 sheep will graze around solar panels across 10,000 acres in Texas. Aligned Climate Capital also works with local ranchers on many of our solar projects to use sheep and goats for vegetation management. Combining clean energy with agriculture not only reduces the need for herbicides and fossil fuels but also improves soil health and creates new revenue streams for farmers—all while being more cost-effective and less likely to damage solar panels than traditional mowing.
