Their generous donations resulted in an incredible $2,895 raised – which will provide 14,564 meals to families in need across the River Region and beyond. ?? Talk about multi-talented! ?? A huge congrats to Alfa team members Marty Brunson and Brittany Gulledge, Alabama Ag Credit’s JumpStart Grant recipients! Marty and Brittany each received $10,000 to help them establish a strong foundation in the ag community. Marty, a director within our IT Department, established MDB Apiaries, LLC in 2023 with a mission to produce high-quality honey and educate others about the importance of pollinators. MDB Apiaries is growing steadily, with plans to expand to 36 hives by 2027. Marty’s vision is to create a thriving apiary that not only produces honey and beeswax, but also fosters community engagement through workshops and educational initiatives. The $10,000 JumpStart grant will be instrumental in helping him achieve these goals. ?? Brittany, a loss control ag specialist and seventh-generation farmer, co-founded 4C Meats in Ozark with her brother, Blake Carroll. 4C Meats is a pasture-to-plate operation that provides high-quality, dry-aged beef to local customers. Brittany plans to cross-fence her pastures; invest in higher-quality bulls; and build a modern, customer-friendly website to expand 4C Meats' reach thanks to the JumpStart grant. ?? We’re honored to have such incredibly smart, capable and kind employees within our Alfa family! The future is oh-so-bright for these two, and we can’t wait to see their visions come true. It's always a great day in Trojan Country! Several of our amazing team members had the honor of speaking at The Sorrell College of Business at Troy University Alfa Day yesterday. Students engaged directly with industry professionals, diving into topics like finance, leadership, career opportunities and more. A special thank you to Alfa EVP of Operations Tommy Coshatt, SPHR and Alabama Farmers Federation Director of Governmental & Ag Programs Mitt Walker (a proud Trojan alum) for sharing their insights with attendees during their keynote presentations.
