Thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Alexander Youth Network’s BHC Empowerment Team- a ground breaking initiative transforming how we develop healthcare leaders from within. We believe that our Behavioral Health Counselors are the glue to truly give great treatment to our clients , and it’s important that they display leadership in the milieu. Our first leadership cohort meeting exceeded expectations as our emerging leaders shared innovative ideas , trainings that they would like to be a part of to enhance trauma - informed care and staff development. The staff were really engaged and it showed their deep commitment to professional growth and improving outcomes for the children we serve . Key highlights from the launch: 1. Established clear pathways for leadership development. 2. Created action team focused on cultural transformation. 3. Introduced our new mentorship program pairing emerging leaders with experienced managers . 4. Developed innovative approaches to staff retention and engagement. 5. Reading: How to Lead When You’re Not In Charge: Leveraging Influence When You Lack Authority by Clay Scroggins. The enthusiasm and insights shared during our inaugural meeting reinforced why investing in our people is crucial.
