Official post for the day…$42,000 we were able to donate to ten local nonprofits because of the generosity of Pabst Brewing Company, Henkel, Walmart, Sam's Club, Market Performance Group, Trinchero Family Estates , Inmar Intelligence, The Krazy Coupon Lady,Plug and Play Tech Center, Bay Cities, Natural State Beer Company, and the Sudar Group. Nonprofits benefited: - Autism Involves Me - PerspectAbility Inc. - Hub of Hope Ltd - Cobblestone Farms - Hydrocephalus Association - Sunshine School & Development Center - Steaks for Sheepdogs - EOA Children’s House - Ozark Zymurgists - F.L.O.P.S. One of the best parts of our year is distributing checks from the events! Sometimes we have to make special deliveries as we did today with Megan Cuddy from the EOA Children’s House. They always show up enforce and are a special partner to Ale-Truism. Special Thanks to 3W Magazine for covering our event Saturday with our co-chairs Greg Cathey and Adam Cairns! The Great Southern Beer Festival was an amazing event! We beat the heat with awesome live music featuring Roger Thomas and the Downtown Livewires, cool beers and ciders made right here in Arkansas and amazing steaks grilled by a partnering nonprofit Steaks for Sheepdogs! We even had a TV personality on site with us for the day with Big Chuk from Discovery’s Moonshiners! There may be a few VIP tickets left for our award-winning steak dinner; else there is plenty to do with several activities and live music all night! Proud of the work our board members do in the community when things get tough. When tornadoes destroyed so much of the community in NWA, we see our board members reaching out to make food for volunteer cleanup workers, families impacted and those needing a meal.

Unfortunately due to the threat of strong thunder in the area on Saturday we will postpone the Great Southern Beer Festival to a new date (possibly June timing now). We continue to thank our chairs: Adam Cairns and Greg Cathey for their support. Ale-Truism is super excited that grant money has been awarded by?Walmart?in support of The Great Southern Beer Festival & Fundraiser this April 27th in downtown Springdale, Arkansas! This event is free to the public and is a great way to support our community businesses and several nonprofits! Misty Bonee Joins the Board of Directors at Ale-Truism Ale-Truism is thrilled to announce Misty Bonee, currently the SVP of Sales at Bay Cities Packaging and Design's Bentonville Division, as the newest member of our board of directors. With an impressive career spanning over 29 years, including 26 years at Walmart and 3 years at Bay Cities, Misty brings a wealth of experience and expertise in operations, sales, and supply chain management to our team. Misty is no stranger to nonprofit work, having been actively involved for over two decades. Her dedication is evident in her long-standing volunteer roles with organizations like Sharing & Caring and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, both of which she has supported for over 15 years. As a founding member of Gather to Scatter and a former board member at Havenwood, Misty's commitment to community service shines through. Her personal journey as a breast cancer survivor led her to take an active role in METAVIVOR RESEARCH AND SUPPORT INC, a national organization focused on metastatic breast cancer (MBC) research. She currently serves on the board for Metsquerade, a local nonprofit working in tandem with Metavivor to raise funds for MBC research. Misty's passion for nonprofit work and community involvement is deeply rooted in her Arkansas upbringing. She believes strongly in giving back to the community that raised her. Her alignment with Ale-Truism's mission to support a multitude of nonprofits by pooling resources and maximizing collective impact is a perfect match. Holding a degree in Supply Chain and Transportation Management, Misty's professional acumen is complemented by her personal life, where she celebrates 31 years of marriage with her high school sweetheart, Joey. They are proud parents of Morgan, a University of Arkansas graduate in Animal Science, who is currently pursuing a BS in Nursing at Harding University. An advocate at heart, Misty played a pivotal role in her nieces' lives, ensuring stability and continuity for them during challenging times. Her personal interests include Pilates, spending time with family and friends, and supporting the Razorbacks in every sport (win or lose!) Misty's pet, Duke, holds a special place in her family, recognized as Celebrate Arkansas Pet of the Year in 2023. He served as her daughter’s service animal for many years. Misty invites her contacts and anyone passionate about nonprofit work to reach out and collaborate in making a positive impact in the community.
