ALDI President Dave Rinaldo kicked off the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) Trade Show last week with an inspiring keynote on how private label brands have become a force in the grocery industry. It’s a topic we know a thing or two about! ?? As a #privatelabel pioneer, ALDI has been creating value for shoppers by offering quality products at affordable prices for nearly 50 years.
Private label is having a moment. Amid inflation, shoppers discovered they don’t need to sacrifice quality to save money. In fact, 90% of shoppers say they’ll continue to buy #privatelabel in the future.? ? I had the privilege of delivering the keynote address at the PLMA - Private Label Manufacturers Association Trade Show last week about how ALDI has approached its own ALDI-exclusive products for the past 50 years, and what #retailers need from suppliers to seize this moment. The key: obsessing over quality, innovating to excite shoppers, controlling costs, and keeping shoppers at the center of everything we do.
