Indiana Survivors Need Your Support The future of critical victim services in Indiana is at risk. Federal cuts to the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) are threatening programs that support survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Without immediate state action, agencies will be forced to close, leaving victims without the support they need. House Bill 1123 provides a solution, but it has yet to be considered by the Ways and Means Committee. With a deadline of February 20, time is running out to move this bill forward. Many other states have already taken steps to fill the funding gap left by VOCA cuts—Indiana must do the same. How You Can Help: Call Representative Jeff Thompson, Chair of Ways and Means, and urge him to schedule a hearing for HB1123: https://lnkd.in/gG7Xix2r Emphasize the urgent need for state funding to sustain victim services. Share this message with colleagues and networks to raise awareness. Learn more about this issue here: https://lnkd.in/gEw9pX7W A few minutes of your time can help ensure that survivors continue to receive the support and resources they deserve. Please act today. #SupportSurvivors #HB1123 #INLegislature #AdvocateForChange
