Last week, leaders from our team attended events on both coasts to join conversations about the future of retail media and how Albertsons Media Collective is driving growth through innovation. At Andy Plesser’s #BeetRetreat Santa Monica, our SVP Kristi Argyilan had an in-depth one-on-one discussion with Terence Kawaja of LUMA Partners about the growth of retail media, how it is expanding to meet demand, and how it will be measured and bought – especially programmatically. Kristi added, “With the likeliness of consolidation and how appealing RMNs are for brands, the case for a CPG to use retail media is indisputable.” And at Retail Media Days New York, Michelle Kircher-Weiskittel, our Head of Media, Creative and Operations, joined a panel of executives from Loblaw Advance, Adaptive Retail Group, Mirakl and Revieve to discuss innovation trends in retail media including advanced analytics, ad format innovation, and how AI is improving personalization. Michelle commented, “In retail media, we are going to see flexible service models (managed, self, etc.) allowing brands to interact programmatically. The result will impact both brands and agencies’ org structure and how they bring together their brand marketing and shopper marketing strategies.”

Earlier this month, Kristi Argyilan, SVP, joined Aisha Khan, Executive Director, Global Commerce Client Acceleration for GroupM and moderator Michael Burgi at the Digiday Media Buying Summit for a discussion around the future of Retail Media. The trio discussed... ?? The explosion of #RetailMediaNetworks across all industries. Kristi noted that grocery is a unique type of retailer though, with extremely active customers. At Albertsons, 36 million active loyalty members are shopping multiple times per week offering valuable insights for advertisers. ??
