We're proud to open our new Blood Lab in partnership with Center for Disability Services on South Manning Boulevard.
Today we did the official ribbon cutting of the new blood draw lab, operated by Albany Medical Center, and located at the fully accessible Center for Disability Services headquarters at 314 South Manning Blvd. We are so proud to have partnered with AMC on this project, which to quote Dr. Dennis McKenna will "elevate equity and access to all". This lab would not be possible without the support of Norman Massry, and the Massry Family, which were represented today by Murray Massry and Julie Massry-Knox. This blood draw site is open to the public, and was built to ensure individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and those in wheelchairs, can have equal access to a very valuable service. Thank you to members of the Center's Governing Board for participating today, including James J Morris IV the Center's Governing Board Chair, Charles Pinckney, Governing Board Vice-Chair, and Maureen O'Brien, a member of the Governing Board of both agencies. Thank you to NYS Assembly Member's John T. McDonald III, RPh, and Angelo Santabarbara, as well as Senator Jake Ashby (former Center Direct Support Professional) for joining us, sharing some words, and for their continued support. #healthequity #inclusion
