关于我们

WE BACK TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IN THE ALAMO HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT. The Alamo Heights School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established in 1971 to support the Alamo Heights Independent School District and is operated by a staff and board of trustees comprised of parents, alumni, and concerned citizens. Initially conceived to oversee scholarships, the Foundation began to augment the curriculum and programmatic needs in the late 1980s. The Foundation’s focus has changed over time as the District’s needs have changed. At this time the Foundation actively raises money to provide funding for teachers’ salaries. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided over $12 million in private funding to support teachers and innovative programs in the District. The Alamo Heights School Foundation is the Oldest Public School Foundation in Texas.

  • Yesterday, we had the honor of bringing together former Presidents of the AHISD Board of Trustees and the AHSF Board of Directors at the Past Presidents' Luncheon. Lauren McLaughlin, current Trustee, and Brooke Meabon, current AHSF Board President, shared updates about the District, ensuring our Past Presidents remain connected to the schools they passionately worked to strengthen during their tenures. It was a privilege to reconnect with these dedicated leaders who have shaped our District's legacy and continue to support our community. Thank you for your service, Presidents!??????

  • Our 2025 Lifetime Educator Honoree, Coach Gaylard Fenley, is credited by many for revitalizing the Athletic program in AHISD during his 18 years of service. He started at AHHS in 1983 as Head Coach and Athletic Director, and in just his second season, led the Mules to the playoffs for the first time in 30 years. After briefly coaching elsewhere, Coach Fenley returned in 1991, steering the football team to an undefeated season and their first District Championship. Under his leadership, Coach Fenley's teams won 10 State Championships, among countless other victories, for AHHS. His reputation earned him multiple honors, including the Tom Landry Award (1995) and a posthumous induction into the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association's Hall of Honor (2008). Coach Fenley was a beloved mentor, instilling in his students that nothing is out of reach. His precedent left a legacy of excellence in Heights that our Mules still carry.?????
