The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of medical items to hospitals, laboratories, and clinics within the Greater San Antonio area. You will be handling sensitive materials, including lab specimens, medical equipment, and medications, so a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality is essential. Key Responsibilities: 1. Pick up and deliver medical supplies, specimens, and medications to designated locations. 2. Ensure the safe handling and timely transportation of sensitive medical materials. 3. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and other relevant regulations. 4. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare providers, and clients to ensure accurate delivery times. 5. Operate in a safe and professional manner at all times while driving. 6. Inspect and maintain vehicle (if company-provided) or personal vehicle (if using own car) to ensure it meets company standards. 7. Follow route and schedule as provided; adapt to changes when necessary. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record. - Reliable personal vehicle (if applicable) and proof of insurance. - Knowledge of the Greater San Antonio area. - Ability to handle and transport medical supplies with care and professionalism. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. - Previous experience as a courier, preferably in a medical setting, is a plus but not required. San Antonio leads the nation in population growth – again! For the second consecutive year, San Antonio has claimed the title of fastest-growing city in the United States. In 2023, we welcomed over 22,000 new residents, marking an impressive 1.5% year-over-year increase. This growth isn't isolated – four of the top 10 fastest-growing cities are right here in Texas, including our neighbor, New Braunfels. According to Texas State Demographer Lloyd B. Potter, our thriving economic landscape is driving the growth. “Companies are recognizing that San Antonio is a great place to come and either bring their headquarters or bring a significant portion of their business,” Potter said. “People that generally are moving here tend to be people with higher levels of educational attainment and are working in jobs that are higher-skilled, higher-paid kinds of jobs.” Over a five-year period, the SATX region’s educational attainment rate increased by more than six percentage points. This growth isn't by chance – it's the result of strategic investments in our PEOPLE and PLACE. We're laying the groundwork for sustainable job growth that will benefit generations to come.
