Piedmont Triad Partnership’s Carolina Core Regional Economic Development Director — 26+ years in regional/local economic development in central North Carolina
50,300+ jobs! What a good reason we had to celebrate NC Carolina Core momentum at Piedmont Triad Partnership’s Breakfast Briefing at High Point University. Thanks to the hard work of our Carolina Core economic developers -- many of whom attended the event and posed for today’s photo -- we proclaimed that more than 50,300 office/industrial jobs have been announced since 2018. In a few short weeks, Alamance Chamber?Class of 2024 Leadership Alamance will be over. I’ve been reflecting on my time and things that I have learned and experienced This has included but not been limited to going to places in #AlamanceCounty?that I didn’t even know existed like several farms located in this area. This has allowed me the opportunity to decide how to serve my neighborhood, starting with a community garden available for me and members of the community.

As members of the Alamance Chamber we had the opportunity to attend their Alamance Industrial Alliance meeting, a couple of weeks ago, where the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) gave a presentation on International Trade Development. This was hosted by Glen Raven at their Sunbrella Fabrics facility, here in Burlington, NC, and graciously provided us a tour of their plant afterwards. #ncmeansbusiness #madeinnorthcarolina #textilemanufacturing

We love being home to Chick-fil-A Supply! Last week members of the Chamber team, along with representatives from the City Of Mebane NC, Alamance County Government, and our state and federal elected bodies joined private sector partners to celebrate the business success and growth of Chick-fil-A Supply.?This was a great event that brought together our community leaders to hear from General Manager Walter Wallen about Chick-fil-A Supply, its culture, and how the company serves both its restaurants and the community. Alamance Chamber Board Chair Griffin McClure added that “The Alamance County business community is proud?to have Chick-fil-A Supply be a part of it. While many of Alamance County’s residents enjoy their end product, having the logistics side of their business find a home here is the pickle on the sandwich. We look forward to many community partnerships in the future with such a reputable company.” Chick-fil-A Supply concluded our gathering with a facility tour and a $25,000 donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank of NW NC. #AccessMore #AccessAlamance #AccessGrowth #ChickFilA #CFA #existingindustry
