Franklin County FFA Field Day What a fantastic day for a field day with FFA! Alabama Farm Credit had a great time spending the day with these hardworking students and teaming up with the Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association to grill up some delicious burgers. FFA chapters from Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Vina, Russellville, Deshler, and Winfield were well represented — congratulations to all the students for their hard work and dedication! We’re proud to support FFA because supporting these students is one way we support the future of agriculture A special thank you to David Daily and his team for hosting, Caleb Beason, the team from Tri Green and Vulcan Materials, and the Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association for making it all possible.

What better way to celebrate National Ag Day than with a branch grand opening! We had a beautiful day at the Scottsboro grand opening and are proud to be part of such a wonderful community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. A special thank you to the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Scottsboro Mayor Jim McCamy, Congressman Dale Strong, and Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture Tami Culver Allen for joining us and for your support of agriculture. We’re also proud to have kicked off our food drive with the Jackson County Children’s Advocacy Center today. We will be collecting donations at the Scottsboro office until the end of April. And of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without the Jackson County Cattlemen’s Association serving up their legendary steak sandwiches and spending the day with us. Thank you for welcoming us to the Scottsboro community. Together we grow.

Yesterday, we held our Quarter 2 meeting with our Young Farmers Advisory Committee and had the honor of hearing from Dr. David Kohl, world-renowned agriculture economist. He shared valuable insights on the economic pulse of agriculture, and we walked away with a wealth of knowledge to better serve our farmers, tips on managing a farm through difficult times, and the impact of a management mindset when it comes to goal setting. Thank you, Dr. Kohl, for pouring into our group and leaving us encouraged and better equipped to navigate today’s age of agriculture. The rest of the day was spent brainstorming ideas and gaining valuable perspectives from a panel of Alabama Farm Credit lenders. It was a great day of learning, collaboration, and planning for the future!
