March is National Endometriosis Awareness Month! Endometriosis is a complex, often misunderstood condition affecting approximately 1 in 10 individuals of reproductive age. Characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus, it can lead to chronic pain, infertility, and significant impacts on physical and mental health. Despite its prevalence, endometriosis remains underdiagnosed and undertreated, highlighting the need for increased awareness, education, and research.
