As planned, Aksarben’s contract with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) to support InternNE will conclude on March 15, 2025, with full program administration transitioning to DED. Impact Over the Last Two Years: - $9M in grants awarded to employers by DED - 1,567 internships funded by DED across Nebraska - Expanded career exploration opportunities for students statewide through in-person engagement events in each of Nebraska’s 6 community college regions Internships are a vital part of Nebraska’s workforce development, and we’re proud to have helped connect students with meaningful career pathways.
