The assembly of the Hugin A platform is underway at Stord. Today, the first building block was lifted into place at the assembly area at the Aker Solutions yard. Hugin A is the area centre in the Yggdrasil development. The platform is delivered by the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and Siemens Energy. The topsides will weigh nearly 30,000 tonnes when completed. Over the next year, the Hugin A platform will rise at the yard with sections and modules delivered from multiple yards in Norway and abroad. Several thousand people will be involved in the work, which will have significant ripple effects in the local community at Stord.

Strengthening emergency preparedness ? In October, Aker BP teamed up with operators, suppliers, authorities, and partners for Tveegg, a large-scale emergency exercise. Over 180 participants across multiple locations worked together, testing collaboration and emergency response. ? Key highlights: ? Aker BP is almost two years into execution of a major investment portolio on the Norwegian shelf. The field development projects are on track. Subsea7, delivering through the Subsea Alliance, is one of over 250 Norwegian suppliers directly contributing to the development projects. The work on the Hugin A jacket is progressing at the Aker Solutions yard in Verdal. The jacket, which will weigh over 20.000 tones when completed, is one of the largest ever built at the yard. ? The team has completed two of four roll-ups. Assembly of the jacket will continue through the winter, and the complete Hugin A jacket will be delivered from the yard for installation in the Yggdrasil area in the summer of 2025.

CRE8 Systems AS in Sola is one of over 250 Norwegian suppliers directly contributing to Aker BP’s project portfolio. Aker BP is investing in modern fields – with production emissions among the lowest in the world. Cre8 is delivering to both Valhall PWP-Fenris and Yggdrasil, and 25 employees are involved in the work.

Hundreds of apprentices are completing their vocational training through Aker BP’s project portfolio. The projects Yggdrasil, Valhall PWP-Fenris, Skarv Satellites and Utsira High are almost two years into execution now. Framo is a supplier to Yggdrasil, and many apprentices are involved in the work.

Over 250 Norwegian suppliers are directly contributing to deliver Aker BP’s project portfolio. Aker BP is investing in modern fields – with production emissions among the lowest in the world. This secures activity, develops competence, and prepares the industry for a future in new value chains. Leirvik AS at Stord is a key supplier to the largest ongoing development project in Norway - Yggdrasil.

The vessel GPO Grace left Aibel’s yard in Laem Chabang in Thailand on Wednesday, loaded with the 2900 tonnes utility module and sections for the Munin topsides. It is expected to arrive at Aibel’s yard in Haugesund around the New Year, where the assembly of the Munin topside is going at full speed. We're proud to announce that K?re Langaas has been selected by Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) as a global subject matter expert in the design of optimal production wells with inflow control. The initiative, supported by SVP Per ?yvind Seljebotn, allows Aker BP to contribute to the industry's knowledge-sharing efforts, with SPE as the main sponsor. Starting in November, the first global tour will take K?re to China and Indonesia, followed by Brazil, Ecuador, the USA, and Mexico in February. A Norwegian tour is planned in May and will visit Harstad, Oslo, Trondheim, and Bergen. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Aker BP’s strong expertise while promoting sustainable well designs.
