Applications must be from US veterinary schools with an active residency program approved by the American College of Theriogenologists (ACT) and demonstrate their ability to successfully prepare candidates for board certification by the ACT. This includes mentorship, educational training, clinical competencies, appropriate caseload, and research support. Rigorous training in canine clinical genetics is encouraged. Researchers of the ACCR and Research program are testing new methods of identifying dogs at a higher risk of developing lymphoma.
