Earlier this month, AKA US held Culture Week, our annual time to celebrate our work, learn together, look ahead, and spend time together experiencing our clients' amazing shows, institutions and experiences. This year, as a part of Culture Week, I was thrilled to host a Client Panel, in which an incredibly impressive group of our partners spoke candidly with our team about The Future of Agency Partnerships. Thanks to Michael Crowley, Kristin Golder, Eva Price and Ken Weine for their time, wisdom, and candor. Here are the key takeaways from our discussion. 1. Big Ideas, Fast Execution Creativity can come from anywhere, and the best ideas aren’t confined to a title or team. At the same time, however, speed is critical—work doesn’t have to be polished and perfect to be effective. The ability to test, adapt, and launch quickly gives brands an edge in today’s fast-moving world. 2. The Agency-Client Partnership Clients expect more than execution; they rely on agencies to lead with expertise and strategic vision. Radical transparency strengthens trust, as does accountability—clients shouldn’t have to micromanage their agency’s to-do list. Seamless execution, smart recommendations, and proactive thinking define a true partnership. 3. Finding the Right Balance: Risk & Responsibility Success comes from a willingness to experiment, but with a clear strategy behind every decision. The most effective campaigns sit at the intersection of bold ideas and data-driven insights. While the market may be unpredictable, focusing on what’s in our control—strategy, messaging, and audience engagement—keeps brands ahead of the curve. 4. Media & Creative Must Work Together Quick pivots based on performance insights ensure campaigns remain effective, while audience-first distribution strategies make sure great content reaches the right people. In a crowded media landscape, how content is delivered matters just as much as what’s being created. I left the session feeling energized and clear on how we can add the most value to our clients. Our job? Stay agile, push boundaries, and create work that resonates.
