Is it just us, or is getting kind of hot in here???? We've been noticing a trend of some rather *sweet & spicy* collabs and new product releases recently! Here are a few that have caught our eye: ?? Chipotle is keeping up with the trend by introducing its latest protein option: Chipotle Honey Chicken. ???Ritz and Cedar's launched their own hot honey-flavored items, combining a new flavor with some fan-favorites. ???Mod Pizza announced a collaboration with Mike's Hot Honey, where they sold a limited edition pizza while collecting donations for the One Warm Coat charity.? ???Exclusively for this year's Super Bowl, KFC offered their iconic chicken tenders coated in the sweet-and-spicy sauce in collaboration with Mike's Hot Honey. ?? Gong Cha had an unexpected collab with Frank's Red Hot last summer, where they offered a limited time menu of spicy slush drinks. ????Taco Bell released a tajín-flavored menu last February, which included Tajín Crunchy Taco,?Tajín Twists, and a?Tajín Strawberry Freeze. This hot trend likely comes from the increasing interest of consumers in bold, spicy flavors. In fact, a?survey by NC Solutions found that 62% of all consumers were more likely to buy a food or beverage if it was advertised as spicy (AF&Co).
