What an absolute honor to witness our very own David Johnides, General Manager of Body System Sales at AISIN, take the stage at?The 26th Michigan Automotive Suppliers Symposium?yesterday at Van Andel Global Trade Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This Symposium is a premier gathering of industry leaders is designed to address the challenges and opportunities shaping the automotive world today and in the future. Under the theme “Shifting Gears – Thriving in a New Automotive Era”, this year’s symposium focused on equipping suppliers with the insights and strategies needed to navigate an industry undergoing transformative change. And “transformative change” certainly is an understatement, isn’t it? We were so proud of David as he brought his unique calming charm and levity to the panel, leading conversations around ever changing electrification needs, regulations, trade and tariffs and how communication is VITAL to the supply chain in these trying times. David shared the stage with Mark McConnell, Chief Financial Officer, Coastal Group; Kevin Clay, President and CEO, Pridgeton & Clay, Inc.; Peter Spencley, Global Product Line Director for Mirrors at Magna and Thomas Manganello, Partner, Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, who served as the moderator for the morning panel. The event also featured a lively fireside chat with Robert Young, Group Vice President of Purchasing Supplier Development at Toyota North America, who brought a great sense of peace to a room full of suppliers facing ever-changing tariff challenges. Young reminded everyone that the market has been through challenges before, and affirming Toyota’s commitment to support its partners through it all. Special thanks to our friends at Plante Moran for the invitation to participate in this innovative and educational event. We are eager to partner on more events like these in the future! Mark your calendars for March 12, 2026 for next year’s Symposium!

Imagine sitting in a meeting with people from across the world, some with hearing impairments, but each of you being able to understand each other, in real time, perfectly. That dream is a reality with AISIN's YYProbe, a proprietary application developed in 2019 that recognizes speech in real time, converts it into text, and displays the text on the screens of smartphones and other devices. Originally developed to help the hearing impaired, this technology can be reimagined in a multitude of ways, and we have seen it in action in our international meetings. Our colleagues are able to actively listen and participate in meetings with us despite any language barriers. Check out YYProbe and let us know how YOU can imagine this technology benefiting our society. The possibilities are endless! https://lnkd.in/deJEwTcp

Today we celebrate our colleagues at?Aisin U.S.A. Mfg., Inc.?(AUM) who recently received the prestigious Special Recognition Award for Excellence in Partnership from Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA). SIA is Subaru’s only manufacturing facility outside of Japan and currently makes the Ascent, Crosstrek, Legacy and Outback models for North America. AUM earned this honor by meeting and exceeding customer expectations, as the Special Recognition award criteria includes “above and beyond effort as identified by SIA management.” “We’re thrilled to celebrate the highest achievers in our supply chain,” said Scott Brand, president and chief operating officer at SIA. “Each has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that is evident in every aspect of their quality and delivery.” SIA has recognized 24 suppliers for exceptional performance over the past year. “With nearly 260 suppliers supporting our operations, this is an elite group that has separated themselves from their peers,” said Brand. “We value their shared vision and dedication to consistently perform at a high level.” Across the world, every single day, our AISIN colleagues at global companies work hard to ensure that we consistently meet and exceed our customers' expectations for service, products and quality. Recognition like this, combined with other customer recognition we receive each year, proves that we are achieving and exceeding our goals for excellence as one global team.

You may know us for our highest quality auto parts and innovative technology, but one of the most important facets of our company is our commitment to communities across the globe. AISIN is actively involved in local philanthropic efforts and already this month we have participated in several major and diverse activities that have made significant impact. We have been supporting the Living and Learning Enrichment Center (LLEC) in Northville for several years as they enhance the lives of local youth with autism and other disabilities. Through therapeutic, social, work-based, and community engagement, LLEC seeks to support, enrich, inspire, and embolden their participants and families. LLEC is quickly becoming the nation’s model in supporting the highest quality of life for people with disabilities, and events like their recent Hopes and Dreams Gala make it possible. A cumulative $425,000 was raised in a single evening! This astounding amount will directly support our programs, helping individuals with disabilities live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Furthering the support of youth in our community, our North American sales headquarters regularly supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (BGCSM) which provides a safe space for youth to learn and have fun, while providing them with the economic, cultural and social capital needed to become career, start up and homeowner ready. BGCSM recently hosted its 45th annual Automotive Golf Classic at the historic lndianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion, Michigan as a team of our executives and customers took to the course for a good cause on a gorgeous day. Since 1980, this premier annual golf event has raised more than $20,000,000 to serve 21,000 youth annually. While our North American operations are robust, we never forget our Japanese roots from our origin nearly 60 years ago. Our support of The Japan America Society (JAS) ensures the legacy of our heritage. JAS is dedicated to strengthening the ties of friendship between the Japanese people and the citizens of the Greater Detroit and Windsor area and to assist in developing a common understanding of economic, political, and cultural diversity. AISIN members and their families recently attended the JAS annual dinner where they experienced cuisine, culture and camaraderie in celebration of our global reach and strong relationships. These are just a few of the numerous activities taking place worldwide as our members continue to amaze us with their dedication and support to philanthropic activities. Just as we are tireless in our efforts to innovate mobility, we are also working year round to improve the world, one community at a time.?
