Our program launches with eight foundation partners, including: ABCN, CLACK, DeadlyScience, Garden City Fund (NParks)?National Parks Board, Rural Aid, Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) (東京科学大学), Western Sydney University, and WWF-Singapore.?? ? MALAYSIA I This week in Kuala Lumpur, we brought together valued partners who have supported AirTrunk’s success in Malaysia. Building on the announcement of our new Johor data centre, JHB2, which brings our investment in Malaysia to RM 9.7 billion / A$3.5 billion, we also shared updates on our social impact, renewable energy and sustainable water initiatives.?? ? At the event, we heard from AirTrunk Founder & CEO Robin Khuda and Country Head, Malaysia Pei Jet (PJ) Lim and welcomed the Year of the Snake with a lion dance performance to usher in prosperity and a lively Yu Shang (prosperity toss) symbolising good fortune and strong relationships for the year ahead.? ? Robin Khuda said: “We are incredibly grateful to our partners who have contributed to our success here in Malaysia. Their expertise and dedication help us deliver the digital infrastructure to support Malaysia and Southeast Asia’s digital transformation. Malaysia is an important market for AirTrunk, and we’re particularly proud that over 90% of our employees here are Malaysian.”? ? The occasion also marked a new collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), to develop the next generation of tech talent in Malaysia. The partnership will begin with scholarships for two outstanding STEM students. ? ? AIRTRUNK IN MALAYSIA | Today we announced our second cloud and AI-ready hyperscale data centre in Malaysia, AirTrunk JHB2 (JHB2). At over 270 megawatts (MW), JHB2 joins 150MW JHB1 in Johor Bahru, taking the Malaysian platform to a combined 420MW and total investment of RM 9.7 billion / A$3.5 billion. The announcement was made in Johor by AirTrunk’s Founder and CEO, Robin Khuda with the Menteri Besar?(Chief Minister) of Johor, YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi and included new environmental and social impact initiatives in Malaysia. AirTrunk Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Robin Khuda, said: “We are committed to helping realise the potential of cloud and AI in Malaysia and prioritising circularity for the benefit of society and the environment.
