The Airports Going Green? Awards were introduced in 2010 to recognize and celebrate leadership in #sustainability. Since then, the AGG awards have added categories to recognize people, projects, and partners that all contribute to the goal of sustainability at airports.
As Airports Going Green? returns to downtown #Chicago this fall, the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and AAAE are seeking nominations for this year’s AGG Awards. Nominees should embody innovation, leadership, and ambition that inspire peers and stakeholders.
Airports Going Green Awards categories are:
?Outstanding Individual Leadership: To recognize an airport’s individual “sustainability champion”
?Outstanding Airport Leadership: To recognize an airport or airport system’s governing body
?Outstanding Tenant, Concession, or Vendor Program: To recognize any type of sustainability project or program undertaken at an airport by a tenant, concessionaire, or vendor
?Outstanding Sustainability Infrastructure Development: To recognize an airport’s sustainable design and/or construction project
?Outstanding Sustainability Program: To recognize an airport’s sustainable program, project, or initiative, not related to a design or construction project
?Outstanding Airline Project or Program: To recognize any type of airline sustainability project or program
Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 30. Winners will be recognized during the AGG Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 14. For more information regarding AGG award nominations and conference registration, please visit airportsgoinggreen.org.
The CDA founded the AGG conference in 2007 to foster information-sharing and partnerships among peer airports, aviation thought leaders, and those who share in a vision for aviation sustainability. Co-hosted by AAAE, this annual conference brings together airport business partners, government leaders, and top-level speakers from around the world.
