Every year, exemplary aviation professionals and students are acknowledged during the #AirportSymp Awards Luncheon for their innovative work in airport development. Mary Kerstein, ACC Foundation Board Chair, presented Casey Brannigan and Elizabeth Thomas, with grants for their dedication to the study of aviation and work in the field. Marlo Chumioque, Outreach Chair of the #ACCYoungProfessionals Committee, presented awards to the 1st place Innovation Competition team for their project - Painting the Future: Autonomous Airfield Marking. Dirk Speas presented the Speas Award to Boston Logan International Airport - BOS for the development of arrival and departure procedures to reduce community noise impact, in collaboration with MIT.
